👋 Welcome! This forum is the community home for everything hosted on code.foss.global — questions, bug reports, feature ideas and general discussion around the foss.global open source ecosystem.

    How this forum is organized

Every organization on code.foss.global has its own category here, grouped by area:

    Area Organizations
    Developer Tooling & Libraries git.zone · push.rocks · api.global · apiclient.xyz · design.estate · tsclass · ship.zone · host.today · stack.gallery · modelprofile.com
    Infrastructure & Data serve.zone · lossless.org · lossless.zone · idp.global · uptime.link · modelgrid.com · umbrella.zone · mainlevel
    Business & Productivity fin.cx · invoice.bot · social.io · signature.digital · consent.software · start.plus · in.work · maintainable.xyz
    Home, Edge & Web3 smarthome.exchange · ecobridge.xyz · cardano.tech

Finding the right category: look at the repository URL. code.foss.global/push.rocks/smartproxy → post in push.rocks and tag the topic smartproxy. Every category has a pinned About thread listing all of its repositories.

Not sure where something belongs? Post it in General Discussion and we'll move it.

How to write a good bug report

    1. Package & version — e.g. @push.rocks/smartproxy@x.y.z, or the Docker image tag / release you're running.
    2. Environment — runtime and version (Node.js / Deno / Bun), OS and architecture, Docker or bare metal.
    3. What you did — a minimal reproduction: code snippet, config or command.
    4. Expected vs. actual — and the full error, stack trace or logs in a code block.
    5. Tag the topic with the repository name.

One problem per topic, please — it keeps things searchable.

    Security issues

Please don't post vulnerabilities publicly — see Reporting security vulnerabilities.

    Contributing code

code.foss.global accounts are available to contributors who sign and comply with our contribution agreement and go through identification. See Contributing & code.foss.global accounts.

    House rules

    • Be kind and constructive — everybody here is building in the open.
    • Search before posting; if your issue already exists, add to that topic instead of opening a new one.
    • Keep topics in the matching category; everything else goes to General Discussion.
    • No spam and no promotion unrelated to foss.global projects.
    • English is preferred so everybody can follow along.

    License & legal

foss.global projects are open source — most are MIT-licensed; check each repository's license file. Project names and logos are trademarks of Task Venture Capital GmbH and are not covered by the code license.

    Happy coding!
    — the foss.global team

If you believe you've found a security vulnerability in any foss.global project, please do not post it publicly on this forum.

    How to report

Send a private chat message to one of the administrators (open their profile → Chat). Please include:

    • the affected organization / repository and the version(s)
    • a description of the issue and its impact
    • steps to reproduce or a proof of concept
    • whether — and how — you'd like to be credited

We'll get back to you, work on a fix and coordinate disclosure with you. Please give us reasonable time to ship a fix before disclosing publicly.

Thank you for helping keep foss.global projects and their users safe! 🔒

You can't directly access the files (like install.sh for example) without being logged in anymore, because of that the download of the install.sh fails.
Downloading the releases still works tough so maybe also export the installer as an asset to the latest release.
Only viable workaround seems to be to clone the project via https (archive download doesnt work) and copy the install.sh to the machine where it should be installed.

This is fixed. See the new install command that uses releases. Full platform access without login, and actual account creation will come back with the release of the new foss.global platform
  • G

The installer script seems to install a symlink to the nupst binary under /usr/bin/ but the service nupst creates tries to start the binary from /usr/local/bin/

This is fixed. See the new install command that uses releases. Full platform access without login, and actual account creation will come back with the release of the new foss.global platform

Hi 🙂 We - the foss.global team - are building FOSS with passion.

We try to keep stuff free from legal Copyright issues, so we are bit more restrictive on who can push to our repos. You can tell us your issues here, and if you want to submit a PR we'll consider giving you a code.foss.global account. You will need to sign and comply with our contribution policy though.

    Thank you and happy coding
